I have steroe speakers the sharp cd-c250 and they are hooked up to my steroe and i tried to use a 3.5mm cable to 3.5mm cable to connect to my mobile and to my computer but when i play the music on my mobile it doesnt play on the steroe speakers what can i do please?

Those are passive speakers that are powered from the mini system they came with. You would need to connect your phone and or PC to that or to an amplifier to drive the speakers.

There is a phone jack on the stereo and i tried connecting a 3.5mm jack to it and to my mobile but it didnt play probably its a headphone jack.. so you are saying that the only way these will work is by buying an amplifier for them?

No you don't have to buy a amplifier. I did a quick search of the speakers and it turns out to be a mini system.

So the "box" that the speakers are connected to should have a couple of ports on the back and/or the front. You might need a adapter to connect your phone to those ports if that 3.5mm port you mentioned isnt playing audio.

The "phone" jack you've tried might be for headphones (an output). Check to see whether you have "AUX In", "Line In" (an input) jack, this is where you should connect your phone.

Yes the steroe on the back panel do have the ports which the speakers go into and when i put them on tuner they play but i tried connecting a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack to my mobile and it wouldnt play so do you know what kind of adapter i would need?

on the back of the panel i have port for 2 cables for each speaker bare wires not rca ports so how do i get these to work please mate? i will buy the cable no problem

Can you post a picture of what you have on that back panel?
If the only connectors you have are for speakers, you cannot connect your phone to that stereo.
