Omnia II audio problem

I'm having a little problem with sound quality and static noise while using earbuds with my omnia II. To start off the completely impossible to listen to anything without using the adapter that came with the phone because of the noticeable static noise and horrible sound quality. When I plug them in with the adapter they sound much nicer but at higher volumes you can hear static and so much treble it could make your ears bleed.

I tested the earbuds with a nokia 5530 and they were perfect with the adapter and without. I tried google, but I couldnt find anything that had something in common with my problem. Any help would be very appreciated.

I'll try to revert back to the original ROM since I flashed Noobody's and Rapid's sense 2.5 ROM which I got off modaco.
