One Monitor = One CPU + XBOX ONE

hi, my setup now is I have one monitor where i use for both my computer and xbox one. the xbox one audio comes from the 3.5mm audio output from the monitor. my question is, can i use a 3.5mm wire from monitor audio out into the cpu/computer where i have usb headphones with mic to use it with the xbox one?

You could use the 3.5mm as an input audio device that you listen to on the headset (in recording device properties go to listen tab and select your headset as the default output).
As far as I know you will not be able to use the microphone on your USB headset for voice communications on the Xbox, all of the sets I've encountered required a special dongle to plug into the controller.
