That is not good progress for the audio world. Just throwing a bunch of random cones together and using a ridiculous amount of power amps daisy chained...that is not progress. Progress would be engineering something that sounds just as good as all that, at 1/2 the size and power rating. 31,000 watts? Are you kidding? Most large rock groups don't use anywhere near that kind of power. This was the project of some engineer who was given unlimited money and resources, and just schlepped a ton of crap in one box. The design doesn't even look optimal (speaker placement, angle, etc.).

These would be cool to rent if you were throwing an outdoor house party and you don't have neighbors for miles.

Other than using them for a concert I don't know what you would use 31,000 watts for... Seriously the amp would be the size of a small house or shack AND it would need it's own air conidtioner.

3100 watts / 220V = approx 141 AMP circuit each speaker. Does the $1 mil price tag include the electrical engineer to design a power solution?

I can now imagine their Polly Pocket sized keyboards for writing articles. Even a eeePC 7" is overkill for them.
