ONT router ps4

So i have Verizon Fios and i was wondering do i need the router to be connected to the ONT for it to give out wifi because i want to connected my ps4 to the router but its Very Far .or would i need another router ?

if your ps4 can't reach the wifi, either buy a long ethernet cable or a $30 access point like >> http/a.co/dVZkS0E

Yes, you need a router connected to the ONT.
Everything else talks to the router, either wired or WiFi.
