Open a .diz file

Hello,
I want a application to open as a .diz file and it did not work. I opened it with notepad but it came up with these random words like:rfegtrthtrtrhrt Can't run in ms dos mode. Please help! How do I open a .diz file, It is suppose to open an installer.

A .diz file is normally just a text description, not an installer: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fileextensions/f/dizfile.htm
However, you might have something else that was somehow renamed to a .diz extension. If it has a line about "Can't run in ms dos mode", check if the first two characters of the file are "MZ". If so, try renaming the file to a .exe extension, run a virus checker on it (or upload it to VirusTotal) since the renaming makes it extra suspicious, and if it seems safe, try running it.
