The system doesn't look bad for a home theater in a box and reviews are good but not from a trusted site that isn't a retailer. Although WhatHiFi gave a great review. My problems with these types of systems is you have fudge somewhere and it it usually the speakers(receiver or both). Which is fine if you plan on keeping them for the long term.

This receiver really putting out 1000 watts that has also to supply the sub woofer, doesn't sound good to me. Why doesn't it include a powered sub which would be better since receivers amps are decent at best. IF you read through the PDF, it shows output at 1kHz which is a big flag when looking for an amp receiver...

When you're looking at specs(even if they are true), they should be 20Hz to 20,000hz at 1-3 THD. Manufactures try to deceive by saying"it's puts out 1000 watts total or 100 watts per channel 5.1. But if you really look into the specs, they rate those 100 watts at 2.0 and/or at 1Khz and might have a spec for the additional channels. For example, if you see a 5.1 receiver that advertises 5.1 100 watts per channel, you will be lucky to get 50-60 watts and at that point is really stressing the receiver.

My other major concern with this system is the lack of inputs and outputs. And if the receiver blows up, there goes the blu ray player and receiver.

It looks like this is a discontinued model so if you can get it for 400 euros, it might be a good buy. IF the speakers that come with it are good a still even better buy. You always use the speakers for something else. It's hard to say never hearing the system but at least WhatHiFi gave it a good rating but keep in mind for future upgrades.

be seeing you, the Prisoner...

Thanks for your input i been looking at other systems etc but i dont find them as good as this (in this price range)
and the looks is good and as you say if the specs are right as they say this should be a really good system i am no audiophile i just really enjoy good sound.

and this will mostly only be used to watch movies and some console gaming and i wont be blasting them at 100% .

its always better to hand pick all the parts like when building a computer instead of buying a prebuilt. But when it comes to speakers/ht i have no idea what to pick as sub. front speaker, midle etc idk what all i should look for as this is the reason i will go with a HT in a box because this looks great and should have good sound.

I dont expect it to be mind blowing but i still think it will have really good and decent sound as now i just use the tv's own built in speakers that are never good. but i hope this one really does suprise me, i did order it yeasterday.
