Os not found

My acer laptop all the sudden when i turn it on says os not found. Why

It could be a sign of a failing hard disk.

I recommend removing it and connecting it to another machine so you can rescue your personal files. You could also run Checkdisk to see if any bad sectors can be fixed. The Command Prompt syntax will be
chkdsk /r
so the /r switch can try to fix any errors it finds.

Once that's done, put it back in the laptop and start up. Immediately press whichever key you need to get into the BIOS and see if you have a utility named S.M.A.R.T. and if you have, let it run and assess your disk.
