Hello,
I have decided to go with a 14" as it's a practical way for me to carry to work and also game with at home.
These are the three I have narrowed it down to:
1) http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?GroupID=457&Code=09933JU&category-id=0F9E19F03A401BCD9A011DBACE824526
2) http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?GroupID=457&Code=209388U&category-id=C7563337D3E07CC4B84607F2E57AE7FD
3) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215392

They are all similar in terms of price. The main reason for this laptop would be for playing WoW and I would like to know which one would handle gaming performance the best, or if you could rank them in order. Thanks!

Isn't the graphics card of the U400(AMD Radeon HD 6470M 1GB) much worse than the TimelineU M5's (NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE)? I also thought that the added SSD on the TimelineU M5 would be better. I'm new to this, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, the GT 640m LE is much better than the 6470m.
Yes, the 20GB SSD is better than no HDD, but the Lenovo Y480 has a standard voltage quad core i7 with higher clock which will give you a lot more CPU performance in both single thread and heavy threaded application. Replacing the HDD with an SSD or hybrid drive is much easier than replacing a CPU (if it is possible). Unless you need a low voltage CPU for battery life, there is no reason to get a much slow i5 instead of a much faster i7. And that too can be solved by having extra stick of battery.
