[citation][nom]rhapes[/nom]You guys that think a $3K projector and screen combo can match the light levels or picture quality that a large plasma can put out are just wrong. Sorry put a projector just cannot match a plasma. Especially a cheap projector. A very good projector costing $20K or more with a very good ($$$) screen can produce a stunning picture in a darkened room but a very large plasma will beat it hands in the dark and at higher ambient light levels, Plus projectors have exspensive bulbs ($300) or more that have to be replaced every year. Todays plasmas have a half life of 30 years or more, 100K hrs or more.[/citation]

Hmm. Are you perhaps defending the purchase of an overpriced plasma display? Three holes in your argument. Firstly, most GOOD plasma displays average about 60K hours, not 100K. Second, you obviously haven't seen what a good ($2K to $6K) projector can do even with high ambient light levels and an inexpensive (~$300) screen. Third... who cares if you have to replace a $300 bulb every 4000 hours when you can buy 100 bulbs (that's 400K hours) for the price of this one plasma display?
