I think you're missing the point. PETA isn't saying meat is bad for you. On the contrary, humans are omnivores. So yes, our teeth are designed to cut and shred meat, as well as mince vegetables.
However, what PETA is saying is that meat, specifically bovine meat (aka steak) is bad for the environment in many ways, and cattle intended for human consumption are treated poorly. Have you seen Cowschwitz, err I mean a bovine slaughter house? I have, it's not pretty. I eat meat, but I tend to stick to poultry for my protein.
