Solved! Phone and headphones problems

I didnt know where to post this but i just bought headphones a couple weeks ago and sound in the left ear was gone, but when i unplugged it from my phone and put it in my laptop it worked like new. Can i fix it, and how?

Try plugging them in to your phone two or three times, may be some dirt in the phone's earphone jack.
