phone is restarting on its own

the phone i am using is samsung galaxy y.. now the problem is that when i switch it on.. the home screen appears only for hardly 2 minutes and then it restarts.. this is happening again and again.. so i can't use my phone... i don't know what to do.. can somebody please help me..? request: please help quickly..!
