Phone to tv usb

I have been trying to hook my phone up to my tv using the usb feature and it still always says no media device selected. Why is it not working? Please help!!!

USB port is looking for a drive not a device. If you can set your phone to look like a drive it might work but don't think you can do that with a phone.
If your TV has an MHL-HDMI input then you can use that

Otherwise there might be a wireless option Check the TV manual. It might support streaming from your phone without any addons. If not then it might require a chromestick.
