[citation][nom]s3anister[/nom]This is really cool. I get tired of having to clean my phone manually and it doesn't get done as often as I'd prefer. This would solve that.[/citation]
Thing is, this will not really clean your phone, just sanitize it.
So your phone will be as dirty as always just with less bacteria and viruses on it.
[citation][nom]DjEaZy[/nom]... and how you gonna train your immune system?http/www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLUIw6gJw74[/citation]
All else aside, this is why I dislike useing antibiotics, antibiotical cleaners and hand sanitizers.
The immune system exists for a reason and unless constantly exposed to different bacteria/virus stimuli it will start to lose efficiency.
That and overuse of anything antiboitical will eventually cause the bacteria/virus it is used against to mutate, usually making it much worse than the original.
Like they say, what ever does not kill you makes you stronger...
For the most part, the bacteria on your phone is of no harm to you. I feel like this is just fuel for the microbial paranoia of a nanny society. This might have some applications for hospital use, where they might be greater concern for infection, but to the regular Joe Schmoe it's otherwise completely unnecessary. I'm sure there are worse things in life that we are regularly exposed to that are of much greater health risk to us than our phones.
Couldn't you just plug it into the charger and wipe it with rubbing alcohol? I'm pretty sure that would get all the bacteria off and some dirt as well, plus if its safe to use on a microprocessor than i can't see why it wouldn't be safe to use on the casing of your phone....
