Photoshop CS4 AGAIN

Hey guys i forked out for CS4 extended thinking it would be a good upgrade from CS3. So far the program is sooo laggy when it come to using the brushes its ridiculous. I have tried all the things adobe like enabling open gl drawing and so forth dosent help. Its so annoying as its not like CS4 is cheap GRRR.
