Pinkish translucent lines on laptop screen.

I have vertical pinkish translucent lines on my Lenovo G 580 laptop LCD screen.The whole thing started a day after i dropped my laptop from a height of 2 feet. Please help me out.

I'd first look at the ribbon cable between the motherboard and the screen. Either partially disconnected or partially broken.
