Playing games while charging

yes i have an iphone 4 and i play a game called survivalcraft and i was wondering if i played games while my phone is charging can it damage my phone reduce the battery life or what else can happen good or bad!

Connecting adapter is not an issue games uses high processing not connecting the charger while playing will decrease battery life
