Playing two sources of audio through one set of speakers

I would like to know of it is possible to hear my Xbox one and PC at the same time through one set of speakers. I tried connecting the Xbox one to the mic in port on my PC, which accomplishes what I want put there is a delay in sound from the Xbox one.

Does your PC have a 'Line-in' in addition to 'Mic-In'? If so, try it. http://www.acoustica.com/mixcraft/help/mixc/recording_tips.htm

As you have it configured is the ideal configuration. How much delay is there?

You would need a mixer similar to this one:

Your PC and xbox would connect to two inputs and your speakers to the outputs. You could then adjust whether one or both play and the relative volume of each.
