My 6 year old Toshiba laptop whose battery is not charging anymore but it still used to turn on,anyways I tried to turn it on today,after a min it starts to flashing red like its battery is low and I have the charger on it then it turns off or reboot,and the same happened,I tried turning it on without battery and didn't work.please help!I tried removing the battery and holding the power button for a couple of mins too.

Does the laptop turn on without the battery when it is plugged in?

No,I disassembled the laptop,and the problem is the power jack,I plugged in another battery and it worked but it won't charge,so it turned off after the battery depleted.

If it is the actual power jack rather than the charger then I would just get a new laptop rather than getting this fixed as it will cost you more than the new laptop.
