I know that there's no such thing as a perfect laptop for around $1000, but I need help finding as perfect of a laptop I can.

1. What is your budget?
Around $1000, I can possibly get up to $1100.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15.6 inch.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
Preferrably 4k, but I can deal with 1920x1080. Needs to be highest color accuracy possible.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable but it doesn't need to be the lightest/thinnest laptop.

5. How much battery life do you need?
Around 4-5 hours but battery life isn't a deal breaker.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Playing games would be nice but just low settings on maybe CS:GO, nothing too serious.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
The main thing I need this laptop for is somewhat heavy video editing in Premiere Pro, some Photoshop, and some After Effects.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
As much SSD storage I can get for not too big of an amount.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
N/A

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
For as long as possible.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
No optical drive needed.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I have no specific brand preference, as long as it's trustworthy.

13. What country do you live in?
United States

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I would prefer to have 1 stick of 16 GB DDR4 RAM already included. The SSD drive has to be at least 128 GB, I can add more storage later if needed. Oh, and it needs to be upgradeable (RAM/Hard Drives, not CPU/GPU).

Thank you for your help!!

If you are going to be editing you want a good quad core CPU, which will also mean lower battery life. This may be good, nice screen, SSD and a decent video card combined with a good CPU http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gl62m-7re-620.html

You can customize just about anything on that website, see what you like and then go through the add-ons, you can specify RAM and SSD there. Big reason why I usually link to it for higher end laptops.
