plugged in not charging above 76%

I have an dell laptop when i connected a charger the charging is done upto 76%.but above 76% it shows plugged in not charging

Some Dell laptops have a feature called Desktop Mode. This only charges the battery up to a certain point. You can read more about it, and how to disable it, here:
