So I have an hp pavilion d8x43ua#aba that i got from my brother in law and it has a broken screen on it. it was working fine but told me to factory reset it because he still had a bunch of stuff on there. so i was using it via hdmi on my tv for a while just checking it out then i decided i was going to reset it once i did it wasnt establishing a connection via hdmi anymore. i believe its at some sort of setup screen before it fully boots? i tried spamming f8 to possible be able to run in safe mode, as well as fn and f4 (which has the display logo on it) the windows button and the p button. i also tried randomly clicking hoping it would boot lol. but can not get it to display through hdmi ive been trying for a while anybody have any suggestions? thanks in advance guys.

Does the laptop screen work at all? The reset would've made it the default.
