[citation][nom]wawa sxm[/nom]Thats the problem in todays world...violence is "ok" for teens, a-team, iron man, etc...but put a lil sex in it and its rated R...when was the last time sex hurt someone...promote love not violence[/citation]
I love porn like every other male...

I have a 13yr old son and i do think some porn is detrimental... It gives young people the wrong idea. I’m sure most chicks don’t want cum in their eyes or to be raped while sleeping. I’m even certain most chicks don’t want some 18inch monster. Some porn is just not good and it seems the porn industry keeps pushing the limits farther and farther. I do love porn though....

Porn leads to urge for sex, which if cannot be obtained leads to rape. Rape leads to anger, which leads to violence, which is the daaaaaaaaark side. Welcome, baby, to the dark side.

[citation][nom]TA152H[/nom]Love isn't sex, although some jackasses will try to tell you it's the same thing, it's clearly not. When did sex hurt someone? How about thinking before you post? Child prostitution? AIDS? VD? Broken relationships? Teen pregnancy? Priests and boys? Do I need to go on, or do you now realize you were grandstanding without any thought?[/citation]

Now now i'm sure they meant nothing by it, although you are throwing the other extreeme at him, I do agree to a point, my argument would go along the lines of how porn desensitizes people to view sex in a way it shouldn't be viewed and how they think about the opposite sex.

I obviously expect "but but we have the right to watch porn" which is obviously true, but we also have the right to watch movie after movie of humans decapitating other humans, and if you think that's fantastic, then to each their own...

You can have scenes in movies depicting sex without earning an R rating just like you can have violence in movies without an R rating. You just can't be very graphic about it (just as you cant graphically kill someone in a movie without getting an R) If you haven't seen much sex in PG-13 movies then that's because you spend all your time watching movies *specifically designed as macho* like Iron man and all the rest... And that's your own fault.

As far as what's worse, sex or violence, they are both seeds of destruction if you use them inappropriately. Yet, our world wouldn't be complete without them. It's nothing more than life's great balance.

Sex has a lot of negative implications. Actually just about everything in life has two sides.

I don't have anything against porn, and I don't think it desensitizes people or plays with people's minds. Not normal people, anyway.

I much prefer porn, to love stories which show sex as an act of love, and being wholesome even in very unwholesome situations. It's much easier for someone to see porn for what it is, and sex for what it is, whereas the other would have more influence. People can easily separate porn from reality, but sometimes you here the idiots talk about what they saw on TV, and you can see they are influenced. They seem to try to tell women it's OK to have sex if you think you're in love. You're not really a cheap whore if you feel this, regardless of the consequences you bring on others.

From the male perspective, sex isn't the same as love. Men will have sex with many girls they don't love, and will love things they will never have sex with. It's good to fool women with, who want to believe it anyway, but it's pure nonsense.

I'm not against porn, just people saying stupid things that aren't correct.

I think this has nothing to do with morality and far more to do with bandwidth. I'm sure Jobs would be happy to "sell" you porn directly from his future iPorn gadget.

I like Steve Jobs approach in a world where we are spammed constantly and incessantly with porn. Not that I am totally against porn but it becomes rather annoying when looking for one thing and being bombarded with sex spam all the time as if there isn't already enough of that in the media. Apple at least lets you take a break from that if you step outside the arena into an Apple product.

I can't recall ever getting porn spam or ads on any site that wasn't a porn/sex related site. There are large numbers of ads for dating websites out there, but not porn.
