Hello. When I connect the charger into my laptop, it just doesn't work. Do I have to be careful about connecting a charger from another laptop (to verify that the charger is the issue)?. I want to try another charger, but I know that not all of them are suitable for all the laptops.

Does it depend on the brand and the model of the laptop?.

Thanks in advance!

While it is ideal to use a direct replacement adapter from the laptop brand, you can search for an adapter by your laptop model which should guarantee compatibility although it may not be identical to stock

The things to check if using a different power adapter than the one that came with the laptop are:
1) That the jack fits into the laptop - there is no standardized size or style
2) That the positive and negative poles are the same as the laptop's - this is very important (shows this on the label)
3) Output Voltage should be the same as the original - commonly 19V but not standardized, can be anywhere from 9V - 21V (shows this on the label)
4) Output Amperage should be the same or greater than the original (shows this on the label)

If all of the above criteria are met, the different power adapter should work
