Problems with Lenovo

I did not know where to post.

We have a all in one Lenovo Desktop. Since my son turned off the plug power cord, it starts but we get a blank screen. This is not the first time. In the past we hit a couple of buttons with the start and my husband and I cannot remember. I've looked all over. We have tried the shift +F8, function +F8

It all started when we added Windows 10...grrr

Any suggestions?

I presume the fan & hard drive make their spinning noise even tho nothing shows on the screen, correct? does the hard drive light flashes as tho loading windows?

Yes there is a noise of them spinning and the lights come on then fade out just leaving the power light on.
