i3 on a laptop would be U-series. No, that would not be OK, u-series CPUs are slow.

a highend intel I5-I7 CPU just make sure there is not a letter U at the end of the CPU's model name cause those CPU's are weak. make sure the laptop has a dedicated NVIDIA GPU and not intel graphics

get a quad core. i5 or i7 or the Zen APU when it come out
