Program for Managing Data Usage with Detailed Information

Looking for a program that will keep track of all of my data used. I have found a couple, but I need another feature that I cannot find present in any of these programs. I also need it to let me know which programs are using how much data. So it will not only show me how much data I have used everyday, but also what programs or services are using how much data. Thanks.

Ah, sorry. I should have been more specific.

Network usage. The process manager will not work, because it will not keep track of data used from previous sessions.

I don't want to just see how much data usage I am currently using at this point in time.

I want to be able to track the data usage, so I can see how much data I have used, say this week or this month. Along with that, I need to be able to see what program/service is using how much of that total data. Hopefully, that's more clear.

Wireshark tracks data going through your router.

This might be helpful to your needs: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/43713/how-to-monitor-the-bandwidth-consumption-of-individual-applications/

If you need any more assistance, post back.

I don't think wireshark can retain how much data was used say last week can it?

I have used it, but never really thought about using it for that purpose.
