Programs being corrupted after some days

Hi friends
I have Windows 7 and it has a strange problem. After installing programs, some of them work without a problem for days but then suddenly stop working after turning on PC another day. For example I have a program for VPN, it works great but sometimes stops working (with errors like ... has stopped working) and I should install it again. It's completely random and sometimes it works for 10 days without a problem and sometimes it becomes corrupt after 2 days.
I had this problem in my previous Win too. It's really strange that some program works great for days and suddenly stops working.

What specific programs?

Where do you get the software?

Do you see any error codes or warnings via Reliability History or Event Viewer?

Look for red and yellow icons.
