Projector / Android Box

So I have an Amazon Fire TV box which works perfectly with my TV. However I'm looking to get one (or similar) to use with my projector also but I'm not sure if it would be possible with my current set up.
My set up is quite old at this stage but I currently have a Ben Q W100 projector...

Which I currently use with my PS3 via a Dvi to Hdmi Cable from projector to console and digital optical cable from console to audio receiver. This works fine and I'm wondering is there any way to replicate this set up with an Android box?

Any answers or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Add an HDMI input selector with audio extraction like this one.

Connect both the PS3 and android box to the switcher with HDMI.
Connect the optical audio output of the switcher to your AV receiver. Connect the HDMI out of the switcher to the projector with the HDMI to DVI cable you now use for the PS3. Done.
