On a fairly high budget, look to the Lenovo Thinkpad W520 series, can be configured with i5/i7, a 1080p screen, and Nvidia Quadro graphics...

Sorry, I didn't realise this was in the Windows 8 forum. The poster above me is correct, although there are plenty of great Windows 7 laptops available, as well as the Macbook option, if you are that way inclined...

That's a good reccomendation. Meh i'm just having an off day which is why I said what I said.
