Hello everyone

I'm planning to mine some cryptocurrency on my PC.

My PC specs are:
i5-6600
GTX 1060
8GB DDR4 RAM

I want to know the following:
1) Which cryptocurrency will be more profitable considering my PC specs?

2) Is it possible to mine cryptocurrency for only few hours a day? I can only do it for only 2-4 hours per day. Also how much will I be able to get if I mine for about 75 hours per month?

3) Do I need linux for mining or is it possible to do it in Windows?

4) How much data usage will it take for cryptocurrency mining?

Solution
1) Most likely none of them...

2) Yes it is possible but you will not get much if anything at all.

3) Read the following:

https://www.lifewire.com/cryptocoin-mining-for-beginners-2483064

4) See 3 above.

Many other articles etc. available online. Just google "how to mine cryptocurrency" and vary the search criteria as you learn and come up with additional questions and concerns.

Just do not pay anyone any real money for any such activities. You are unlikely to even recover your PC's electrical costs.

Yes you can mine for certain periods, you have no commitment.
I'd suggest you mine an equihash coin, zcash or zencash.
Mining uses very little bandwidth.
You can mine just fine on windows with small systems (like yours).
