Raspberry Pi 3 audio DAC

Hi,
What is the sound quality of the Raspberry Pi 3 audio DAC ?
Is its audio output quality good enough for HiFi systems ?

Without any direct experience I would say it depends on how good the hifi system is.
There are inexpensive plug in DAC boards for the Rasberry Pi 3.
There is no reason you couldn't use any USB DAC you can afford since the Pi is used by many manufacturers to create their audio servers.

Raspberry pi + dac is one of the cheapest way to enjoy hifi audiophile quality with affordable price. The quality of cos depends on your amp and speakers, but being a network hifi player , raspberry pi and dac is comparable to 500usd+ network streamers. Using i2s dac is better than usb dac. I use volumio + nanosound , which are very easy to setup.
