Hey guys i um recently purchased a laptop from alienware and i still have time to cancel my order.Money isnt a big issuie for me on the laptop but i need an unbiased opinion and rating on this laptop (Not including the price).

Dual 512 Mobility Readon HD 3870 (CrossFire)
IntelCore 2 Extreme Quad QX9300 2.53 Ghz (12mb Cache 1066 Mhz FSB)
17 Inch HD 1920x1200 Display (clear view technology)
Illuminated Keyboard
Windows Vista 64 bit Home Preimum
8Gb Dual Channel DDR3 SO-DIMM
Extreme Performance (Raid 0) -1 Terabyte 7200 RPM
8x Dual Lay Burner W lightscribe technology
Intel internet Ultimate N 5300
Internal Audio with sorround sound.

Also on the upcomming 4870s to Alienware i keep a 50% discount on Dual Mobility 4870 Cards crossfire.

What would you rate my Laptop with its current state and what would you rate my laptop with the Dual 4870s?

Scale 1-10 and PLEASE leave a comment to help me out or what ever. Thanks guys!

The 3870's weren't bad cards, so as is I'd say 7/10. With the 4870's it'd either be an 8 or a 9, since they are pretty much top of the line cards in the notebook world (yes, ATI finally came out with a highend notebook card to compete with NV). I'm not a real big fan of Alienware, so that's what is holding it back from a 10.

WHat kind of laptop do oyu recommend then? i want a VERY VERY good laptop i was looking at ASUS and it would cost me 4700 bucks (alienware 5300) to get EVERYTHING i want on it. BUt i dont know what to do. I just want a bad ass lap top. :/

I am a huge fan of Sager/Clevo laptops. Unfortunately at the moment, they don't have any offerings with dual GPU setups, so they don't have much that would match/beat the M17 in performance.

Don't get me wrong, it will be a solid performing system. I am just a little wary about flaky support from Alienware.

Also, here is the same system, sold by a different company: http://www.xoticpc.com/force-extreme-built-flextronics-arima-w840-ocznbim17a-w840di-p-2495.html
