Reasonable gaming laptop

I'm looking for some advise on a quality gaming laptop for my 13 year old son. There seems to be a tremendous selection, too much for me to make sense of. Help

What is your budget and what types of games will your son be playing?

Generally speaking, laptops with dedicated graphics will start at about $650 - $700 excluding a sale / discount. The more powerful the graphics chip the more the laptop will cost. The benefit of spending more for a dedicated graphics chip will be better performance in games. The more money you spend for a better graphics chip, the better the performance.

Integrated graphics are decent enough to play most games with low settings, but games that are not very demanding can be played with medium or higher settings. League of Legends is an example of game that can be played on high settings with integrated graphics. World of Warcraft should be playable at low or medium settings, but raid missions (20 players I think) will likely choke on integrated graphics. The Sims 4 will run okay on low settings, okay but not great.
