three guys I remembered this 2" thing isn't just a cake walk.

Thank heaven that the producer has returned home, because the overdub sessions
are at a standstill. The first attempt at the torque and tension adjustments stayed
fast for about 2 hours, then began to drift again. The machine is either dumping
tape from the supply side and dropping out of record, or creeping while in stop
and refusing to enter play. I'm going over it again by phone with Mr. Sadler later
this afternoon. I'll let ya' know...

I'm gonna' post some pictures of the 7-day conversion from a house to a workable
recording environment a little later.
