I received a 10 Viking Pro laptop tablet for a Christmas present? I have tried everything to get it working for me but I can't

Received a 10 Viking Pro laptop tablet for Christmas as a gift? Haven't been able to do anything on it just yet? Was able to install a pin number for it start the Android apps? But, tablet keeps saying connected to WiFi but there is no internet connection?
Have internet access in my home.but it doesn't even connect to the network? Keeps saying authentication problem?

Did you enter a password for your home wireless network?

Go into Settings.
Under Wireless and Networks, click Wi-Fi.
Find your Wireless SSID (the name of your wireless network).

Does it say connected?
Click on your Wireless SSID and report back everything is says (excluding the name).

Security?
Status?
Signal Strength?
Link Speed?
Frequency?
