Replace Core i5 CPU to Corei7 on HP laptop

Hi, I'm thinking about replacing a core i5 to a core i7 in a laptop computer, the model is HP dv6-2170. Could it be possible to do that?

Hi. what socket is it? if you do not know this, please download cpuz. this is a free utility that you can download and provides you with a lot of information about your hardware. when you have done this, open it and go to the mainboard tab. youi will see the processor and the socket. this is the socket that you will need the i7 processor to fit. make sure this socket matches. once you have done this, you can open the bottom of the laptop and take out the cooling for the processor. then remove the processor using anti sstatic precautins e.g. wrist strap. you cajn then add your other processor. if you need any more information on installing the new processor, just google the socket and look for more instructions.
