Question replacing cracked panasonic 50in plasma screen

i was wondering if its worth it to replace the cracked glass i have a replacement.How hard will it beand does it matter if the glass is off a different model?

If you have a replacement then it's worth 0 cost to you to try it, only time. It may work from a different model, as long as the glass is the same shape and will fit yours. How hard it will be, usually when someone asks this in a post it means they don't really have the skill to do the work or they would have researched how to do it on their own or already knew how or had similar skills with repairing equipment. So would be up to you how hard it will be for you, first time work, will be harder for sure.

my problem is getting the glass separated from the metal using a heat gun on the already broken one but not sure the best way to get the good one separated without breaking it
i have spent hours looking searching and havent found anything on how to do this
