A strange coincidence, a little while after posting that I got an
email about higher speed available here. It increases my 1M/128
connection to 4M/512 for the same price. They reguire going to thier
website to upgrade. That would be fast enough to RECEIVE Replay
streams.

In this, We have full agreement

I once wrote a letter, which was packaged with a Computer disk and sent
back to the publisher.. This was in my Commodore 64 days and the program
was Shanghai by the way (A Majhong class program)

The letter basically asked whey they had put copy protection on the disk
when all copy protection did was

1: Make the program hard to load
2: Risk damage to the customer's hardware
3: Increase the risk of warranty replacement needs
(Which, after all, is what I was asking for)
4: Make Mike Henry (Fast Hack'em) Rich and Famous

Actually,,, I used Kracker Jax to copy that disk

Note, I never had any trouble loading the K.J. copy It had the copy
guard removed.

Fact is, attempting to make machines enforce non-copy rules, Simply
makes the hackers who break the security rich and famous

Unless they live in the US, now it can make them felons under the
DMCA.

If you can't stop it with HW - make it illegal.
