Wish they would drop the keyboard and extend the screen down to it where it was... Palm Pre is too thick with the keyboard and I'm fine with virtual. I can text faster on the iPhone than I ever could with some of my older qwerty or T9 phones.

Still waiting for the Pre 2, want them to fix the address book, it is currently to cumbersome to easily find contacts.

Tried using the Palm Pre... Didn't like the keyboard, not comfortable to type. Went with HTC Touch Pro 2 instead.

yea the palm pre looks identical to the HTC touch dual which is almost as thick as a brick

However a recent report on BGR says we'll see the Palm Pre hit stores on October 20.

Proofread! The Pixi will hit stores on the 20th. The Pre has been out.

No, it's just that nothing beats the ergonomics and feedback of a good, physical keyboard (although virtual is more versatile, esp. for inputting non-Roman script).

Dunno about anyone else but I like physical keyboards 'cos I can type blind with them (ie know what I'm typing by feel, so I can concentrate on other things at the same time).

Hope ya'll got 20/20 vision. Small hand held devices require excellent vision. The fine print on a tiny screen is not very legible. Don't get me started on the keyboard.
