Maybe EA will learn the value of selling quality games for $20, instead of questionable ones for two and three times that.

...ok, ok, I'll put the pipe away...

thats my point bill, i dont mind paying for an epic multiplayer game, cause those hold me months, but i wont pirate indie developers, i buy what i like from them and delete the rest.

if piracy wasnt there just think how strong of influence gaming companies would have been in the world? blizzard/ea/activision would be almost as big as google then. and sorry to say but thats scary for a company to have so power/influence.

im not saying piracy is right, but im just saying nobody looses if i pirate from those huge companies, many ppl will always still listen to their conscious and play it on the laws side. but i see no harm(as seen in article) with pirating software.

I don't mind another PvZ. I only recently started playing it and got hooked. Here's hoping that EA gives freedom to the developers.

[citation][nom]stm1185[/nom]How is Popcap even worth $1 Billion. Dont they sell their games for $1.99, have they really sold around 500 million copies. Who comes up with these value figures![/citation]
Think about it: How is Facebook worth 38 billion, or whatever they value it at? Facebook is totally free to use. The answer to the value of both of these companies is the high web traffic allowing them to:
1) Reach you through advertising
2) Create a social gaming network (probably what EA will do with Popcap)
3) Collect demographic non-personal data and sell it to anyone interested.

[citation][nom]rohitbaran[/nom]Not necessarily. I think BF3 is going to be great and though it is not a casual game, on similar lines, we can hope that EA will give Popcap enough freedom in developing their games.[/citation]
If by great game you mean a game that comes crippled where you have to pay additional money for DLC right away just to be able to compete in multiplayer.

You see no harm in pirating software? Do one thing instead, try them legally at least, go to a lan house, play on a friend's PC, read reviews, but don't pirate, and then buy if you like it.

Im going to miss that company 🙁 they made some fun stuff.

two questions...

Why cant EA come up with anything on its own? it is a game company, there something really wrong when you have to buy other companies because what you have isint working after.... you baught other companies.

Do you think that one day EA will be hit with a monopoly lawsuit as it trys to get yet more IPs through aquisition? You can only buy up and destroy so much before you are seen as anti competitive...

RIP Popcap if EA buys you. Bejeweled 2 on Android is put out by EA. It is very glitchy and does not have Blitz. That's par for the course for all companies and franchises swallowed by EA.

[citation][nom]bill gates is your daddy[/nom]If EA has $1,000,000,000 to throw around at whimsical buyouts, will people start to understand that these corporations are not harmed by piracy no matter what they say.[/citation]
yeah but they will only make games that make money. therfore you should pay for the games you like to send a signal to company to make more games like them.

if every gamer pirated bf2 but people payed for peggle the we would get less BF2 and more peggle
