Reset the acer aspire one

my brother-in-law reset my laptop and now i have to put in a password as soon as i turn it on how do i get rid of that and is there anyway to recover my lost files with out a program? thanks

Ask brother in law for password and then change it to blank in settings....

No way to recover files without program.
