Question Restoring deleted Whatsapp chat without backup?

Does anyone know of a way to restore a deleted Whatsapp chat that was not backed up? Chat was on my laptop, i.e. I typically use whatsapp from my laptop rather than the phone, not sure if that makes any difference. NB I do not want to have to pay anything to do this.

Sadly, if you didn’t backup all the messages it’s impossible to restore them. WhatsApp doesn't store any user messages on its server. I would suggest you check your Google drive as whatsapp uploads the backup there too.
