right click not working

i have a new hp computer and the right click will not work. what can i do? send the computer back?

i am sorry for not being clear. right click on the actual computer pad. i can use a mouse easily. just frustrated when i am not using the mouse and can't right click. it will right click in windows 8 for checking the boxes, but not opening up menus to perform tasks, such as copy, paste, etc.

I have the same issue on a new hp laptop. I spent an hour with tech support and they want me to send laptop in for repair. Would like to know if there is another solution.

If you lightly tap with two fingers on the touchpad once the file has been selected. this brings up the menu to perform tasks.

DID YOU SEE THE ANSWER? LIGHT TAP, RIGHT SIDE OF PAD WITH 2 FINGERS. AMAZING...WORKED FOR ME. HOPE IT DOES FOR YOU. NOW I HAVE TO DEAL WITH WHY WHEN I WRITE WITH MY HP LAPTOP, EMAILS, I ACTUALLY END UP DELETING PART OF MY EMAIL WITH I USE MY SHIFT ON RIGHT SIDE OF COMPUTER. WHAT IS WITH THAT???
