Just great. You know someone is going to make the news (like posthumously) when it is discovered they mounted a Kinect in their car to use with their smart phone.
It's bad enough flailing around like an idiot in front of a TV where everyone else can see what I'm trying to do on my Kinect, but I refuse to do the same ridiculous dance just to check a text message. I don't see how this can be practical. The voice assistant certainly, but not the gestures.
I just don't want Windows 8 to become bloated as a result. I think a lot of things could be trimmed down so a typical Windows 8 installation only takes 10GB.
Kinect does not have three cameras. It has one VGA camera, one infrared depth sensor, and one infrared laser projector. The infrared projector and sensor are what is used to model the room 3 dimensionally while the single camera is used for color imaging of the room.
