Samsung galaxy grand prime

Hello! i just recently bought a samsung galaxy grand prime SM-G531H/DL. i got it for a friend in cuba and they told me that it is an unlocked version. I'm not sure what the DL means but will it work in cuba? also should i initialize it using my sim or wait for them to do it with their sim?

It might. According to this retailer's page, the phone is region locked to North/South America, which does include Cuba. But it looks like it will mostly depend on what carrier your friend is using and whether the frequencies they use are supported by the phone.

Hey! thanks for the response i wasnt sure if it would work there but i used [link removed] to check using my friends carrier and it looks like the phone will work there with their frequencies! and i'll wait for them to use their sim to initialize the phone
