samsung galaxy s2 problem

hi there, I've got Samsung galaxy s2. it was working fine till this morning. it was full charge and the buttons were on, but the screen wasn't. I tried to restart and take the battery out and put it back in several times, so I will know if the screen is broken. but now the buttons don't even turn on! please help if you know how to fix it.

Did you do a hard reset?

1. Turn the POWER OFF, pull the battery out and put it back again.
2. Simultaneously press the Volume Up, Home and Power button
3. If the Samsung Symbol appears, release the Power button
4. A Boot Menu will then show, Use the volume up/down to choose and home to select.
