i cant get my phone to mount to my laptop

what exactly do you mean by "mount"? are you trying to somehow attach your cell phone to your laptop?

are you trying to connect your cellphone to your laptop? if it's the latter, then how are you trying to connect it? Which step are you having trouble with? Does either device give you any error descriptions?
