The Galaxy Note was the most interesting announcement to come from IFA. A 5.3" phone packing the same res (1280x800) and processor (1.4ghz dual exynos). Sweet!

Might be interesting if the price were right, but it won't be will it :-(

I really liked the feel and size of the 7" table range. I know the ones near 10" are more functional for some things, but the 7 or so just felt right for the things I was planning on doing.

Hoping this is a decent weight and reasonable price.

I am still waiting for an appealing (to me) 7-8' tablet as the only tablet I will consider. But I don't want this to be a cheap device with to much corners cut. Although I expect the cost to be lower in general. But my biggest challenge yet is to find a good use for it in my personal or professional life.

Samsung is a brand name for people who get their gear for free from their employers or who do not intend to use it for more than the warranty period.I won't even waste my time checking these out since I like products to last longer than their warranty period.

Funny thou because all our company given cellfones are nokia...

Junix, that's a very interesting yet unprofessional opinion. Which Samsung products have you owned and had a problem with? How many Samsung products have you used?

You state that you "won't even waste (your) time checking these out", yet here you are in a public forum, doing precisely that.

actually, you got me wrong, i was actually defending samsung and stating to mr wish that company phones are not samsung but nokia in my area...

and mind you, I am on my way to buy galaxy sII and galaxy tab 10.1 and samsung 3dtv... hmmmm you really made a big error here lordstorm...

but... but... this is the apple hater montra. Apple haters should sue samsung haters!

My company's mobiles are Blackberry, and the odd one or two tablets we have are iPads, with the majority of everything else being HP or Toshiba. I would much rather have Samsung in there in place of Toshiba, for example, and as a person who has purchased various Samsung products over the years, I've never had a bad word to say about them. I'm still running two Samsung Spinpoint drives after 7 years of operation, plus I have my Galaxy S and my F3. I know some people who own Samsung TVs; not a single complaint.

ahhh that blackberry where the middle roller is the first thing to get broken and the entire phone becomes useless... that is also given by our company... well at least they change the design with a touch sensitive scroll...

On a related topic, I am just loving samsung (and any other fone) for putting all that power in a phone to make it better and not like apple who sell a slow phone with useless cam and sell it bigtime...

I don't understand where this hate for Samsung came from. As far as I am concerned Samsung is one of the top dogs when it comes to quality control.

Yes it is true! They are a top dog in quality control,in making it just last the warranty period and than when you have no warranty left, your samsung product will no longer work.

$200, Tegra 2, just one front facing camera for Skype, SD card slot, USB 3.0, a good 10+ inch display and a good replacable battery and option to add external dock! And a good PDF reader
Android 3.

That's what I'd buy!!! I want an e-reader with a good browser!!! I'm not going to pay a premium price for something that I might loose or break.

Why would I need a second camera, or GSM module or some other lame feature? Give us cheap tablets already!!!

you want skype, but you dont want a second front facing cam... what good does a skype if you can't see each other then,,,

But I do like the docking thing idea thou... about the 200$ tablet, i remember a friend not wanting a laptop until it is priced at 250$... yep... he waited a decade for that... and still ended up buying second hand

That's nice, but I'm curious why the 1280x800 resolution. 720p resolution would've made it a good movie-watching platform.

I'm afraid I'm using Samsung products : a monitor, two phone (an Android and a Bada) and a washing machine all of which are well over the warranty period and still functioning like new.
